When you take this tour, you won't only tour the Gobi and other sites on the way, but also will witness the unique features of Mongolian nomadic culture & traditions by taking part in the Nomads' Day Cultural Festival (17-18 September) in the amazing Gun-Galuut Nature Reserve by the legendary Kherlen River! You will also have the opportunity to admire the renowned Naadam Festival in the middle of autumn.

Early morning, driver will take you to airport to take an early flight to Dalanzadgad, the provincial center of South-Gobi province. The flight takes hour and a half, and the Wild & Vast tours team will be waiting for you at Dalanzadgad airport. Take a city tour of Dalanzadgad town and drive to Bayanzag, known as Flaming cliffs, where American explorer Roy Chapman Andrews found cemetery of dinosaurs and the first dinosaur eggs ever discovered in the world. We will have some hiking through the cliffs and see the Gobi tree grove named “Bayanzag”. Bayanzag, literally means “rich in saxual trees”. This tree only grows in central Asian Gobi. Overnight in Ger camp.
The tour will continue to Khongor, the largest sand dunes in Mongolia. After reaching the sand dunes, go hiking or climb to the sand dunes and have an hour camel riding. The two humped Bactrian camels are very comfortable to ride as they walk slowly and gently, and you will be supported by the humps, sitting comfortably between them. In the evening, especially during the sunset, sand dunes change the color and it’s extremely beautiful to watch. Overnight in Ger camp.
Today's destination is Vulture Valley well known as Yolyn Am that located in Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park. Yolyn Am (The Vulture Valley) is a deep and narrow gorge in the Gurvan Saikhan Mountains. Gobi Gurvan Saikhan Mountains (Three Beauties of Gobi) are three Rocky Mountains, the highest of which is 2815 meters above the sea level. The gorge was created from continuous water erosion, and it is filled with ice and snow in winter which melts around end of August. It is wide at entrance and narrows progressively into a gorge that contains ice and an interesting as well as beautiful place to visit during summer to feel ice below your feet. Enjoy hiking and photographing the charming landscape and wildlife. Visit to local Gobi museum. Overnight in Ger camp.
This morning we will take a flight to Ulaanbaatar, arrival and drive to “Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex” which is currently the biggest (40m high) equestrian statue in the world. There is a recreation area, restaurants, and souvenir shops occupy the base structure. From here, we use an elevator or walk to the head of the horse through chest and back neck of the horse, where we can have farseeing and good panorama view over the complex area. After lunch, transfer to Gun Galuut Nature Reserve in the valley of the Kherlen River across the green steppes. A visit to the Gun-Galuut Nature Reserve is a treat for wildlife enthusiasts and for anyone who appreciates the truly extraordinary landscapes Mongolia offers up. Mountains, rivers, lakes, and wetlands provide a unique and varied habitat for some of the world’s most rare and endangered species. The Argali or Wild Mountain sheep, with its characteristic curly horns, has a protected home here, as does the Siberian White Crane which summers on the reserve’s Ayaga Lake. There is also the opportunity to enjoy a range of optional activities in this beautiful setting, including horse and camel riding, fishing, kayaking, cycling and archery. We will visit to local nomadic family to experience the lifestyle in the country side, which has not changed for centuries. You can learn their daily duties and if you wish you can participate as well. Also we will do some horse riding activity with support of family man. Overnight in Ger camp.

Groups of local nomads will proudly demonstrate the major 10 customs of unique Mongolian nomadic lifestyle to the visitors as a competition among the groups. The tourists have the great opportunity to experience real Mongolian customs & traditions.
14:10-15:10 Lunch. Guests will enjoy steppe delicacies together with hosts.
15:30-17:30 Competition between the tourists.
This competition leaves the tourists with lifetime beautiful memories providing them with the opportunity to experience nomadic way of life and Mongolian culture, by doing nomads' everyday work themselves.
18:00-19:00 "Melodies from the Great Steppes" folk concert
Local Mongol nomads will be happy to demonstrate the wonders of Mongolian traditional folklore to the tourists. Stay overnight in Ger camp.
11:00-13:00 "Smiles of Mongolia" Contest of beautiful rider couples. This contest allows the tourists to see the beauty of the Mongol people, their extensive knowledge, their marvelous traditional costume and unique cultures related to horses.
13:00-14:00 Lunch.
14:00-17:30 Mini Naadam, Nomads take part in the three main games of Mongolia: horse race, archery, and Mongolian wrestle. The second day is also dedicated to Mongolian cooking. Nomad dishes are prepared in front of the travelers who will enjoy them with several typical drinks of the steppe.
After Closing ceremony, we will drive back to Ulaanbaatar, arrival and you will be transferred to your accommodation. End of the tour.
