Day 1. Flight to Khovd town Western Mongolia and drive to Tsenkher cave

Our driver  will pick you up from your accommodation early morning and transfer to the airport for your flight to Khovd town, the capital of Khovd province. Wild & Vast Tour's team will be waiting for you at the local airport. Drive to Khoid tsenkher cave. The rock paintings of the cave dating back 20,000-15,000 years ago are rightfully considered as world class evidence of the Upper Paleolithic period. Overnight tented stay. L D

Day 2. Drive back to Khovd and Khar - Us lake

Drive back to Khovd province via Khar Us Lake. There are we have good opportunity to see varieties of birds and beaver. You can rest, hearing sound of various waterfowls gathered in the lake. Visit local museum in Khovd town and stay overnight in the local hotel. B L D

Day 3. Drive to Bayan - Ulgii province via Tolbo Lake

Drive to Bayan-Ulgii province via Lake Tolbo. Admire the attractive view of majestic mountains on the way. Break the trip near the sheer Tolbo Lake and free hiking there. Visit the Zahchin or Urianhai ethnic nomad family. Stay overnight in tourist camp in Ulgii town. B L D

Day 4. Drive to Altai Tavan Bogd National Park

Today we will have full day drive to Altai Tavanbogd National Park  via Tsagaan Gol (White river) valley and through Altai Mountains that are Mongolia's largest and highest mountain range more than 3000-4000 meters high. One famous spot is "Shiveet Hairhan" Sacred Mountain, where we will see the largest rock painting site from the period of the Huns (approx 200 B.C.) Overnight tented stay. B L D

Day 5. Altai Tavan Bogd horse trek and Potanian Glacier

Today we will ride horse (11km - you can hike also) to Altai Tavanbogd referring to the peaks of Huiten - 4374m and the highest. It is a stunning setting with the awe inspiring massif of high snowcapped peaks. We will reach the 20km long Potanin glacier, which is ice river starts from Altai Tavan Bogd Snow Peaks. Back to base camp and overnight in tent. B L D

Day 6. Drive back to Bayan - Ulgii province

Drive back to Ulgii. On the way visit Kazakh Nomadic family and feel their great hospitalities. Meet Kazakh Eagle hunter and see his magnificent bird. See how Kazakh women are making felt and other handy crafts. Stay overnight in tourist camp. B L D

Day 7. Drive to Uureg lake

Today's destination is Uureg Lake, We will spend rest of day leisure at the lake, walking, bird watching, and swimming. Stay overnight in tourist camp from 15 km from the lake. B L D

Day 8. Drive Uvs Lake and Sand dune "Buurug del"

Drive to Sand dune "Buurug del" via Ulaangom capital town of Uvs province. On the way we will see Uvs Lake, a gigantic inland sea in the middle of the desert. Then drive to Buurug del sand dunes which are direct continues of Gobi desert and surrounding mountains are designated wilderness; this is a great place to enjoy unspoiled natural beauty in a variety of ways. Here you can climb up to the dunes. Overnight  tented stay. B L D

Day 9. Free day and visit nomad family, camel ride

Today is a relaxing day. We will visit a local nomad family. There we have an opportunity to experience their way of life, their culture and traditions and ride 2 humped Bactrian camel. Back to base camp and overnight in tent. B L D

Day 10. Drive back to Uvs.

After breakfast drive back to Ulaangom for your departure flight to Ulaanbaatar. Take a small city tour including local museum and market. Stay overnight in local hotel. B L D

Day 11. Fly back to Ulaanbaatar.

After breakfast you will have a flight back to Ulaanbaatar.  Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, and you will be transferred to your accommodation. End of the tour. B

Accommodation - During your stay we provide standard tourist Ger camp accommodations in the countryside (twin share), carefully chosen and checked by our staff to ensure high standards. Most of the tourist camps supply the Mongolian traditional dwelling Ger as guest’s accommodation. Normally, three or two beds are in one Ger. If client want to stay alone in a Ger there will be additional charge. The camp provides restaurant/bar, western style toilet, washing facilities and showers. Some days will be tented stay and tented camping will consist of kitchen tent, dinner tent and sleeping tents (twin share). Accommodations in Ulaanbaatar does not include in the price, but if you wish we can book your hotel in Ulaanbaatar from choices of 2-5 stars. 

 Meal - When you stay in Ger camps, the camp provides meals of mostly western cuisine and also Mongolian traditional cuisine. Most of the Mongolian traditional meal is based on meat, choices of beef, mutton, goat, chicken and, even sometimes yak. So, please let us know if you have special request. During the camping trip you will be served three times daily meal by our professional field chef. It is also available to have and taste traditional dairy products when you visit to nomad families. Bottled mineral water, tea and coffees are included in all our trips.

Transportation - In the countryside we use 4 WD vehicles, mostly Japanese, Korean and Russian minivans as well as Japanese jeeps. During the tour we will be driving approx 150-250 kms daily. 

Guide & Drivers – We offer you the best ones in our industry by their knowledge, customer care, personality. All our tour guides are highly experienced (minimum of 3 years) and have an excellent level of language, knowledge of our Mongolian culture and custom & tradition. About tour drivers they know their duty, road and vehicles as well as how to make you comfortable in long ride.
